Falcons & South Central Post Wins, Playoff Picture Set

South Central survives, Wins Conference Title

In a truly outstanding and exciting game the South Central Football Team scored late, then held on for the win as the teams traded long touchdown drives, turnovers and big play after big play in what will end up a playoff rematch next week.
The key for South Central was stellar offensive and defensive line play both leading to big plays on both sides of the ball.
Run-run South central completed 6 of 9 passes down the stretch, as the normally run heavy team proved it could through down the stretch as that balanced adjustment proved to be key in their time of need.
The Lions played stellar defense relying on textbook old school tackling to slow South centrals running game that had been putting up almost 300 yards per game.  The Lions also countered with a big play running game and cluctch passes down the stratch as well.
​The two teams will probably see each other again in the playoffs next week.  The loser will probably get a bowl game.

Falcons take down short handed Chargers

Sullivan, forced to play without it's 7th graders, put up a good fight but wore down in the second half as the defending champion Del Sol Falcons took down last years runners up to secure a second seed but there will probably be a rematch next week.

South Central Stages comback,
Wins with Late TD

The Falcons went up early 12-0 and took a, 18-6 lead midway though the second half.
South Central regrouped, responded and scored 14 unanswered points enroute to their first win as both teams had to go iron man and call down players from varsity to secure rosters.  Cooperation between programs and coaches are ensuring these players get a chance to compete, that's a win for all of our athletes and families.
